Flower Paper Collage

After listening to "Please Please the Bees" by Gerald Kelley on Story Line Online https://www.storylineonline.net/books/please-please-bees/, we will create collage flowers for the bees.

On a piece of paper draw a large flower with pencil. Use a cup to trace the center of the flower and add big petals around the center. You can also add a stem and leaves if desired. Torn newspaper or magazines into little pieces and glue each one them into to the petals without leaving gaps. Color the center of the flower with a mix of three color pencils or crayons. Color the background as well. Once the petals are dry, you can use a crayon to add color to the petals.

Once your drawing is finalized and colored, upload it on the Facebook Gould Elementary Digital Art Gallery for grade/credit.
